We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented professional to join our small property management team!

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Immediate Employment Opportunity


The PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community at all times (e.g., general day-to-day maintenance, make ready units, and general upkeep of the property.). This involves insuring a clean and well maintained living environment for residents, visitors and staff. It is the PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN'S duty to anticipate, identify, correct any and all problems involving the property and to implement a plan and procedures that will prevent such problems. 

An effective program of maintenance is essential in order to:

• Maintain a clean and well maintained environment.

• Cultivate resident satisfaction.

• Protect the investment of the apartment property


EXPERIENCE: Opportunity requires at least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES but is not limited to the following:

The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN is to perform general maintenance to effectively maintain an attractive property appearance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, screen repair and replacement, carpet cleaning, and painting. 

  1. Assists property maintenance personnel and other maintenance personnel when applicable.
  2. Ensures all service requests, callbacks, and/or work orders are performed properly and promptly.
  3. Ensures to complete maintenance make-ready assigned by Management.
  4. Ensures all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, and grounds/landscaping.
  5. Completes in making ready vacant apartments including, but not limited to; painting, locks, light bulbs, garbage disposal, drawers, doors, smoke detectors, blinds, windows, drains, faucets, and toilets.
  6. Must be able to lift/move 60+ pounds
  7. Must be able to:
  • Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel – Handle tools + equipment, perform routine maintenance/repairs
  • Climb Stairs – Service requests, make ready needs for 2nd and 3rd floor apartments, must be able to physically walk up and down 3 floors of stairs
  • Push or pull move equipment, appliances, open and close doors, etc.
  • Climb ladders– Perform routine maintenance/repairs
  • Grasp/Grip/Turn – Handle tools + equipment, perform routine maintenance/repairs
  • Finger dexterity – Handle tools + equipment, perform routine maintenance/repairs

9. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
